I possess good interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain structured time-management, honesty, discretion, the ability to work well independently and remain calm under pressure.

I am competent and proficient in a range of practice management software including DGL, Carebit, Medesk, Ultragenda, Compucare, Maxims, Cliniko and Heydoc. I work in a quiet environment from my home office based in Hertfordshire.

I offer a range of services within the medical private sector to support your practice and help it grow. These range from telephone and email monitoring to invoicing, diary management, proof-reading, dealing with queries, medical transcription and more within a paperless set-up. About Me - Emma Selby

I have worked as a medical secretary and practice manager in the private sector since 2007. During this time, I gained extensive secretarial, administrative and managerial skills including the expansion of practices and training new employees. I thrive in a busy environment while maintaining a calm and patient disposition. I have a friendly nature and am very meticulous with my work, organised and self-motivated.

I decided to start up my own remote private medical secretary service after recognising that I can incorporate my experience and knowledge into my own business, allowing more time to work for several consultants, saving them money by paying for the actual work carried out, rather than hiring a part or full time secretary.

I chose to specialise in the private medical sector as this is where my expertise lies and observing over the years, the growing demand for a remote secretary, which also saves money on office fees. I offer a more personal service, rather than that of a large company, which I have found is preferable to many consultants.

Prior to my employment as a medical secretary, I worked as an aesthetician for five years in the clinical beauty industry, which also included clerical duties. I am certified in anatomy and physiology, in addition to holding a BTEC ND in applied science with beauty therapy.

My passions include dance and I have also gained a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. I continue this hobby in my spare time, as well as other pursuits, such as yoga, meditation, sound healing, nature and fitness.
